This blog is sweeter than cupcakes, folks, and that is NOT an expression I use lightly. My brother-in-law Will is back with his family in Germany after an 18-month stint in Baghdad. They’re still stuck overseas until next summer, but at least they’re together and Will is safe.
That’s my three-year-old niece Lily greeting her daddy in the picture. She’s the one who named me Auntie Buttcake. She also coined the phrase “Hi auntie, where’s cupcakes?”
So, welcome home Will! We’re so proud of you and so glad you’re safe and with your family. We love you, thank you for everything.
That is so great to hear. I’m glad he’s out safe. Why do they have to stay overseas for so long?
I don’t think his term is the army is up til then. Oh, that’s my sister in the other picture, by the way. You can tell we’re related by her pale, pale arm. (^_^)
i do have some white daughters.
btw, nina told me will bought lily one of those faux doorways like teno’s. lily makes them take turns being auntie and teno. LOL
Ahh ok that makes sense then I guess. My arm is pretty much that pale. Maybe I’m related to your sister too haha.
